Industrial LED Lighting

In harsh and hazardous applications, dependable lighting is an absolute necessity. Industrial indoor and outdoor applications are responsible for over 25% of lighting electricity consumption worldwide and generate more than 500 million tons of carbon emissions.

Poor visibility at industrial worksites has costly and tragic consequences, up to an including loss of life. Despite this, more than 80% of the industrial world still relies on antiquated lighting, such as old HID and fluorescent technologies instead of significantly safer and more efficient industrial-grade LED lighting.

There are many downsides to using fluorescent, high-pressure sodium and other traditional lighting in industrial applications, including:

  • Insufficient light output and poor colour rendering
  • Unnatural glow
  • Glare
  • Short lifespans
  • Slow restrike time in the event of power loss
  • Frequent maintenance
  • End-of-life issues
  • Risk of exposure to harmful chemicals such as mercury in the event of bull breakage

Light emitting diodes or LEDs are the most efficient white light on the market and can save up to 90 percent of energy use over legacy systems. LEDs are completely solid-state devices, having no air, glass, or fragile filaments, making them extremely resistant to shock and vibration and, unlike conventional lighting, LEDs can produce virtually any colour on the Kelvin scale.

When designed properly, LED systems offer superior energy efficiency, reliability, longevity, improved light levels, visual clarity, and ultimately, cost savings from reduced or eliminated lighting related maintenance and energy costs.

Dialight is proud to be the only industrial lighting company that focuses solely on LED technology. Our solutions are built specifically for longevity in harsh and hazardous industrial environments.
