As a rubber manufacturer, we acknowledge that our materials and our products have an impact on the environment, therefore we strive to do all that we can to mitigate and offset this. We have chosen to do that through innovation and quality, and by grounding our development in our values of respect for our customers, employees, shareholders, and, of course, the environment.
The Derby Rubber Sustainability Program starts with the lifecycle of all of our products. From the conception and the design of a particular product through to compound selection, application and gathering data in order to then continuously improve and innovate that product.
So, an extension to our Sustainability Program really focuses on staff, low staff turnover, staff satisfaction and creating a great company culture.
We’re always looking for opportunities to improve our energy efficiency and we’re doing that through a number of different aspects; smart PLC controlled cooling towers to solar panels on the roof.
