UK: Rail Business Awards 2016

The UK Rail Business Awards will take place on 25 February 2016 in London, bringing the best and brightest of the rail industry together to celebrate individual achievements at what is described as “one of the best nights in the industry”.

The categories which will be judged are rail business of the year, train operator, digital and social media excellence, engineering business excellence, rail freight excellence, industry leader, rail engineer of the future, young professional, excellence in safety and security, station, rolling stock, training and development, supplier, technological, marketing, costumer information and service and corporate communication, as well as an award for the most outstanding woman working in the UK rail industry.

The Women in Rail award criteria will look at a woman in the rail industry who demonstrates initiative and dedication, leadership, passion and drive and an outstanding contribution to the industry, as well as showing a commitment to improving the gender balance in the industry by supporting the employment and career development of women in rail.

Rail business of the year is selected from each of the other award categories. Excellence in digital and social media excellence award will go to the company that can demonstrate effective use of digital andsocial media services to overcome their business challenges.

The event will take place at the London Hilton on Park Lane , attended by top industry professional from all around the world, with plenty of opportunities to network before and after the awards ceremony. The awards themselves will be presented by Nick Hewer from the BBC’s The Apprentice.
