Taiwan: Pandrol Supply Danhai Light Rail Transit Project

Railway track systems and fastening materials supplier Pandrol CDM Track and Pandrol France have been contracted by the CTCI Corporation to supply the Danhai Light Rail Transit project in Taiwan. The project is Taiwan’s second tramway project, and among the first in the region .

The first phase of the tramway project is 9.7km long, including a 5.2km at-grade section and a 4.5km elevated section on which Pandrol CDM track will fit its QTrack embedded track system.

The project will be undertaken by a consortium of of China Steel Corporation (Turnkey E&M contractor), United Steel Engineering & Construction (Civil Contractor) and the Taiwan Rolling Stock Corporation. CTIC Corporation will undertake the EPC contract for the track work package of the project.

CTIC have chosen Pandrol France to deliver DFF bonded baseplate fastening assembly as a compliant system for the project. The DFF bonded baseplates have a proven record of success in Taiwan, delivering a high level of electrical insulation and contact baseplate footprint.
