Sydney Metro’s Crows Nest Station has been awarded Best Rail/Transit Project at the Engineering News-Record (ENR) Global Best Projects competition.

The award showcases the collaborative efforts of both Sydney Metro and the Crows Nest Design Consortium (CNDC) in delivering a station that aims to serve generations to come.

The station was designed in collaboration with the Crows Nest Design Consortium (CNDC)

The CNDC consisted of lead consultants SMEC and partners Woods Bagot, Robert Bird Group, Norman Disney Young and Oculus.

Defining features within the station include the pavers on platform level, as well as its artwork ‘Ceramic Wall Relief’, which includes a series of nine tile collage panels, each of which frame and embellish the walls in both entrances at the station.

This latest award is the most recent in a period of international recognition for Sydney Metro.
