Siemens Mobility has appointed Aglaja Schneider as its new Joint Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director for Rolling Stock and Customer Services for its business in the UK & Ireland.
Schneider assumed her position on 1 January, and succeeds Sambit Banerjee, who is retiring after a 30-year career with the company.

Joining Siemens Mobility’s existing senior leadership team in the UK, consisting of Rob Morris (Joint UK&I Chief Executive Officer) and Marko Feulner (Chief Financial Officer and Chair of the Board UK&I); Schneider’s appointment follows a period of growth for the company within the UK, including the recent opening of its 6 million GBP Multi-Functional Centre at its Kings Heath Depot in Northampton.

Schneider’s previous experience includes work with Siemens itself, including recent time served as Project Director for the Piccadilly line and Head of the London Deep Tube Upgrade Programme.
