With the opening of rail services at Belfast Grand Central Station, the following key changes have been implemented:

  • The rail line between Belfast and Lisburn has reopened
  • Services have resumed at Botanic and City Hospital stations
  • Enterprise services have relocated from Lanyon Place and now operate to and from Belfast Grand Central Station, as the main terminus for the city
  • All NI Railways local services, including those on the Bangor and Portadown lines, now operate from Grand Central Station

The first train to depart from the new station was an Enterprise service to Dublin at 8.05 am on Sunday. The first arrival was the 8.30 am from Portadown, which reached Belfast Grand Central Station at 9.15 am.

As Belfast’s new terminus station, Grand Central Station offers improved connectivity with the broader public transport network, providing seamless integration with rail, bus, and coach services across Northern Ireland and beyond.
