The UITP MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition 2016 will take place in Dubai from 25–27 April. The conference will bring high-level delegates from stakeholder companies, groups and organisations around the world together to discuss the key issues affecting the Middle Eastern and North African transportation sectors.

Speakers will come from UITP (Belgium), the Dubai Transport Authority, IATR (New York), BiTaksi (Turkey), TBM (Spain), CETUD (Senegal), Systra (France), Alstom, Doppelmayr (Austria), the Johannesburg Department of Roads and Transport, LTA Academy (Singapore), Trapeze Group (UK) and STM (Canada), among others.

Topics on the agenda include the role of transport in urban growth, regulation and guidance, timetabling, environmental sustainability, fleet management, predictive maintenance, technology and innovation and the use of smart and big data to improve customer experience. There will also be case studies heard from Tehran, Jordan, Oman and Tokyo, among others.

The MENA Exhibition will welcome 2000 visitors to over 6000 square metres of exhibition space, to see the latest solutions in public transport, including new technologies and innovations which improve the experience of both public transport operators and users.

With coffee breaks and a desert safari dinner on day two of the conference, the congress and exhibition will offer plenty of opportunity to network and meet with existing contacts.
