The main structure of the longest span tied-arch bridge currently under construction on China’s high-speed rail network has been completed. This milestone marks a key stage in the development of the Yulinbei–Cenxidong section of the Nanning–Zhuhai High-Speed Railway.

Located on the stretch crossing the G65 Baoji–Maoming Expressway, the tied-arch bridge is known as the Cenxi span.

The Yulinbei–Cenxidong section is an extension of the operational Nanningdong–Yulinbei line and will further enhance regional connectivity. Once completed, it is expected to contribute to the “Two Bays Linkage” initiative, which aims to strengthen connections between the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.

The enhanced corridor between Guangxi and Guangdong is anticipated to increase both passenger and freight capacity, contributing to economic activity along the railway route.

In addition to the tie-arch bridge, construction continues on other parts of the Yulinbei–Cenxidong section, with further milestones to follow.
