The Frecciarossa Milan-Paris service, suspended since August 2023 due to a landslide in the Maurienne Valley has now resumed operations.
FS Group’s high-speed train provides a service across the Alps, reaching the French capital in approximately seven hours.

Two Frecciarossa services are operating daily in each direction. From Milan, departures are scheduled at 06:25 and 15:53, while trains from Paris will depart at 07:30 and 15:20. This schedule offers a total of 1,840 seats per day.
Intermediate stops include Lyon, Chambéry, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Modane, Oulx, and Turin.
Gianpiero Strisciuglio, CEO and General Manager of Trenitalia said:The Ferrovie dello Stato Group and Trenitalia are very focused on the international growth of passenger transport. We look with confidence at the High Speed network in Europe, at a service that from an Italian subway can become a European subway.
From 15 June 2025, the Frecciarossa network will expand further with a new Paris-Marseille route, featuring four daily trips. The journey, lasting approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes, will connect Paris-Gare-de-Lyon to Marseille Saint-Charles, with stops at Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Avignon, and Aix-en-Provence.
This expansion aims to enhance sustainable mobility between northern and southern France.
