The High Speed Rail: Education Interchange conference will be going ahead on the 14th and 15th December 2020. We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak and its impact as we plan for this conference as an in-person event. We are exploring digital platforms as a contingency, and are currently asking delegates to register their interest in attending the conference on the specified dates, in either format. We will provide all prospective delegates with further information in due course, and aim to finalise the conference format by July.
Despite the current transport paralysis due to Covid-19, the HS2 project is being progressed. This demonstrates the vital importance of High Speed Rail (HSR) as a future transport mode. The key question addressed by the conference High Speed Rail Education Interchange (HSR:EI) is how research and education can continue to develop HSR, to revolutionise the future of railways in the UK and globally.
This year’s HSR:EI conference will explore how industry, educators and trainers can work together to develop and deliver High Speed Rail (HSR) systems globally. Delegates will share knowledge on current research, initiatives, innovations and best practice, drawing on their experiences. They will discuss the challenges facing universities, railway businesses and the wider supply industry, and the opportunities for collaboration.
