The 24th Annual Conference of Railway Experts (24. Jahresfachtagung der Eisenbahn-Sachverständigen) will take place in Fulda, Germany on 5-6 May 2022. Please note that this event is in German.

The demands on the railway as a transportation system are high. Rail transport should work towards making the climate policy turnaround possible and expand its capacities for the purpose. The rail industry itself should, simultaneously, build and operate in a sustainable manner – and not only ensure daily availability, but also be prepared for extreme weather in the future.

Entitled ‘The Rail System: Sustainable and Available’, the 24th Annual Conference of Railway Experts on 5 – 6 May will discuss the operational and technical target image of DB Netz, and will look at at future standards in superstructure taking into account climate change. The first day will be formed of discussions surrounding current issues relating to ETCS and the high-speed program. The second day will offer three specialist workshops, dealing in depth with civil engineering and building construction projects, and control and safety technology and vehicles.
