Metrolinx has announced the completion of major upgrades at Bradford GO Station, improving connectivity for passengers travelling between Simcoe County, York Region, Barrie, and Toronto.
The works are part of the wider GO Expansion programme, which aims to expand and modernise transit infrastructure across the region.
The upgraded station includes a new bus loop with three bus bays, a heated shelter, improved lighting, and a digital display board showing real-time transit information. The bus loop is scheduled to open to the public on Saturday 28 June 2025.

Access to the station has been improved for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. A reconfigured passenger pick-up and drop-off zone has been positioned closer to train and bus connections. New pedestrian pathways and sidewalks along Dissette and Bridge Streets, along with a signalised entrance and exit at Dissette Street, are designed to support smoother traffic movement and safer navigation.
Renovated parking lots, additional pedestrian crossings, and upgraded lighting have also been introduced to support easier and safer station use. For cyclists, the station now offers expanded facilities including a reserved bicycle parking room, bike shelter, and racks.
Further upgrades include an enhanced stormwater management system and expanded CCTV coverage, contributing to safer and more efficient station operations.
These improvements are part of a broader investment under the GO Expansion programme. With 12 billion CAD committed to regional transit development, the programme will deliver more stations, additional track, and more frequent, all-day, two-way service across the network.
