Australian Railway Association Award Celebrations

Across this wide and wonderful industry of ours we have more than 110,000 people working across a broad spectrum of occupations, disciplines and professions. There are also more than 170 companies comprising private and public passenger and freight operators, track owners, manufacturers and suppliers in the industry, so tonight is about the industry and celebrating the many great achievements and innovations taking place in rail.

This year we received almost 100 nominations, all of which were of a particularly high standard, making the selection process incredibly difficult for the judging panel.I eagerly await the announcements of this years winners and to pay tribute to the individuals and organisations that help make rail the prosperous industry it is today, Mr Tanner concluded.
