Amtrak has announced a new sale allowing customers booking a Roomette to bring a companion for free – for a limited time.

The offer, which is available for any tickets booked for travel between Saturday 1 November 2025 and Saturday 31 January 2026, is now available for booking until Saturday 1 November.

The offer is valid on tickets booked for travel between Saturday 1 November 2025 and Saturday 31 January 2026

Routes within the sale include the California Zephyr, Cardinal, City of New Orleans, Coast Starlight, Crescent, Empire Builder, Floridian, Lake Shore Limited, Silver Meteor, Southwest Chief, Sunset Limited, the Texas Eagle, and the northbound route of the Auto Train (Sanford, FL to Lorton, VA).

Those looking to take advantage of the offer can use C121 during checkout on either the Amtrak website or app.

Amtrak’s Roomette tickets include access to lounges at a number of major stations, priority boarding, a turndown service, complimentary meals, access to a shower and luggage assistance.

Each Roomette is fully equipped with new bedding, pillows, towels, linens and a large window.

Amtrak Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Eliot Hamlisch said:

Whether it’s a weekend getaway with a family member or quality time with a close friend, Amtrak guests who travel in our Roomettes will enjoy comfort, upgraded amenities, and first class service while taking in some of the country’s most breathtaking landscapes.

With our ’Twice as Nice Sale’, travellers can share the experience and create lasting memories for two, all for the price of one.

The sale is valid for travel on all Amtrak Long Distance trains, with the only exception being the southbound Auto Train.
