Alstom has inaugurated its new Stockholm office in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Andreas Carlson, and a number of industry stakeholders.
The new premises provides room for a slew of advanced labs for the development of signalling systems, including the ERTMS for Botniabanan, Ådalsbanan and Malmbanan in Sweden.

The office’s inauguration ceremony was held on 19 August and included an opening speech from MD of Alstom Sweden, Maris Signal Martebo, as well as a ceremonial ribbon cutting and musical performance.
Those in attendance were also given a guided tour of Alstom’s ERTMS-lab.
Maria Signal Martebo, said:We are continuing our investment in Sweden, this time through the new office in Stockholm, which gives us better conditions to meet the growing needs for modernisation and digitalisation of infrastructure and signalling systems in Sweden.
With many years of experience in the Swedish railway sector and our expertise in, among other things, infrastructure and signalling systems as a foundation, the new office — with advanced and well-equipped laboratories — gives us even better opportunities to serve our customers with high efficiency.
