Alstom has announced upcoming changes to its senior leadership team, effective from 1 June 2025.
The appointments follow internal succession planning and aim to support Alstom’s operational focus across key global markets.

Andrew DeLeone has been named President of the Europe region, taking over from Gian Luca Erbacci, who is retiring after more than two decades with the company.
DeLeone currently leads Alstom’s Africa, Middle East and Central Asia (AMECA) region, a position he has held since January 2021.
Martin Vaujour will succeed DeLeone as President of the AMECA region and will join Alstom’s Executive Committee. Vaujour brings experience from both within Alstom and its former partner, TMH.
Alstom CEO Henri Poupart-Lafarge said:I am very pleased to see Andrew, who has successfully established a strong footprint and commercial momentum in Africa, Middle East and Central Asia, take the helm of Europe. His impressive impact on Alstom’s growth is a result of his strong commercial acumen and customer-centric approach which he will bring to his new role.
I would also like to welcome Martin to the Leadership Team. Martin is a recognised leader with a diverse background in general management, stakeholder relations and finance and will continue the momentum and bring new insights to this important growth region.
Let me pay tribute to the leadership of Gian Luca Erbacci, who has had a significant career with Alstom since 1998, holding many different leadership roles. We thank him for his many contributions over the years and wish him well in his retirement.
DeLeone joined Alstom following its acquisition of Bombardier Transportation, where he was responsible for operations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India. He previously held a range of roles at General Electric’s Power business, with a focus on business development, project delivery and service operations. His academic background includes a degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Industrial Relations from Cornell University.
Vaujour has held various management roles since joining Alstom in 2009. These include leading the Russia-CIS region and serving as CEO of TMH-International, where he was responsible for operations across Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. Most recently, he has been overseeing Mergers & Acquisitions and Investor Relations at Alstom. He began his career in audit and consulting at Arthur Andersen and EY and is a graduate of ESCP Business School in Paris.
