Alstom & ATM Group (Azienda Traspoti Milanesi) have announced a strategic partnership to bid for the upcoming renewal of the Luas operations and maintenance (O&M) contract in Dublin.
The bid will be submitted in response to the tender process currently handled by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).

The two companies will look to combine both Alstom’s advanced transport system solutions and ATM’s multimodal operational management experience to deliver a future-ready solution for the Luas in Dublin.
Piers Wood, Managing Director Ireland at Alstom, said:We are proud to partner with ATM to offer a compelling proposition for the Luas O&M contract. Our shared commitment to reliability, sustainability and innovation is at the core of this joint venture.
We look forward to bringing our knowledge and our proven expertise in light rail systems to support the long-term success of Dublin’s Luas network.
Having originally supplied the Dublin Luas’ entire current service fleet in 2004, Alstom has been present in the Irish market for more than 20 years.
The Luas transports over 40 million passengers annually, with each tram in use made up of 98% fully recyclable materials.
