CTL Capital Group – An international logistics operator carrying out domestic and international transport using its own rolling stock and infrastructure.
The Group provides comprehensive transport services, including handling of reloading processes, servicing of railway sidings and mass terminals, including seaports. The CTL Group is distinguished by the ability to coordinate and handle transport along the entire route of transport to the countries of Western and Southern Europe.
Situation before implementation:
- Difficulties in processing and analyzing an increasing amount of data
- Difficult flow of information, which resulted in limited efficiency in managing the available data
- Hardly intuitive transport management systems supported by calculation files
- Delays in receiving information regarding owned resources
Implemented solution:
The implementation consisted in delivering, configuring and launching the RAILSoft Business Solutions system fully adapted to the needs of the CTL Capital Group. An additional implementation task was training for implementation teams of individual business areas of the company, i.e.

In addition to the modules mentioned above, the implementation and programming works also included the implementation, development and adaptation of software for the needs of CTL LOGISTICS, CTL GMBH, CTL SRO and CTL Północ together with the system stabilization period.
Implementation results:
- The system supports the management of railway logistics processes, commercial processes, planning and implementation of transport, repairs of locomotives and wagons, as well as the management of railway documentation
- It also contributed to a significant support of training processes, periodic, qualification and verification examinations as well as employee competency management
- The system supports commercial processes by generating data on many variables, on the basis of which relevant offers are developed. These include, among others, data on free capacity and resources, routes, timetables, communication of track closures, etc
- The ergonomics of work and the speed of information transfer have been improved thanks to the implementation of a mobile system for train drivers, auditors, setters and shunters
- The quality and ergonomics of the work of HR areas have been improved thanks to automatic reports from individual drivers’ nests scattered throughout the country
- Planning processes have been improved thanks to the collection, processing and delivery of specific information to planners in one place – the planner’s panel and the dispatcher’s panel
- The RAILSoft system provided the CTL capital group with access to strategic resources, i.e. information that significantly influenced the effectiveness and quality of planning and bidding
