High Speed Frecciarossa 1000 Train Makes First Journey in Italy

Italian Transport Operator, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, hosted the maiden journey for the V300ZEFIRO very high speed train, also known as the Frecciarossa 1000 in Italy. The Frecciarossa 1000 ran from Italy’s Milan to the capital Rome. This high speed train is set to start commercial service in June 2015.

The very high-speed Frecciarossa 1000 was manufactured in partnership with AnsaldoBreda and is the latest train to be added to the BOMBARDIER ZEFIRO family. With it’s top speed of 360km/h, the V300ZEFIRO is the fastest train in Europe. It can maintain its high speeds on the winding routes, allowing it to deliver excellent travel times.
