The World Rail Festival, World Passenger Festival and RailLive! are hosting a webinar on ‘The Future of Rail. What’s on the Horizon?’ on 20 May, 2–3pm UTC.
With the emergence of the coronavirus crisis, we are seeing the rise of new behaviours. Many people will likely continue working from home, which will result in a very different environment for rail and transit in general. Operators have to look to new partnerships and engage in an organisation-wide digital transformation to be as resilient as possible against uncertainty.

Rail operators will have to invest significant sums to make sure their workforce is safe and to win the trust of customers. Operations, sales and distribution must become more automated, as this will cut the number of physical touchpoints and staff in the field.
