In Dialogue with Rail Freight: Solutions Now and Plans for the Future – 2 December 2020, 2pm – 4pm GMT

This RSSB webinar, which is supported by the RFG, is exclusively for freight operators and their customers.

Discover solutions that are available now, as well as possible opportunities for the future (encompassing performance and other topics).

This session will showcase findings from “Rapid Evaluation and Planning Analysis Infrastructure for Railways” (REPAIR), an award-winning Data Sandbox+ demonstrator that offers a game changing advance in freight train planning during network delays, led by Frazer-Nash and University of Hull’s Logistics Institute.

It will also feature the “Dynamic Freight Capacity Management” (DFCM) project, led by 3Squared as part of the RSSB Dynamic Train Planning Innovation competition, which analyses freight schedule utilisation and looks to identify unused paths and highlight them to operators needing to run a VSTP service. REPAIR and DFCM are part of RSSB’s wider programme of performance-related research, encompassed in our Improving PERFORMance webinar series. There will also be short presentations on other RSSB funded freight-related projects, including other topics, as well a broader discussion.

An additional breakout session is available with the Frazer-Nash presenters after the webinar, see the registration form for more details. The event is only open to freight operators and customers who can register using this link. The webinar address will be sent in the confirmation email. Please note that the webinar will be recorded. There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout as well as a broader discussion on key themes.

If you would like to get in touch in the meantime, or for any questions, please contact [email protected].
