THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED
This seminar will provide a timely opportunity to assess the challenges for delivering the Elizabeth Line in December 2018, and Crossrail’s completion in 2019, and will bring out latest thinking on the proposed Crossrail 2 project.
Delegates will discuss what further action can be taken to maximise Crossrail’s contribution to regeneration and growth, and to ensure that businesses, housing developers and other key sectors are best placed to take advantage of the increased connectivity.
Amid uncertainty over the future of Crossrail 2, further sessions will look at potential challenges for project design and implementation, as well as for securing the necessary private investment in the project and for providing value for money – following the announcement of the Government’s independent affordability review.
Attendees will also discuss opportunities for connecting Crossrail 2 with other key elements of the National Infrastructure Assessment strategy and the Mayor of London’s Transport Strategy, as well as considering Crossrail’s potential contribution to the modernisation of transport infrastructure, the incorporation of technological innovation and the development of skills within the transport sector.
