Axminster Carpets

Specialist Quality Custom-Made Sustainable Carpets for Rail

Britain’s best known and most prestigious carpet designer and manufacturer, Axminster has  been manufacturing the world’s finest carpets, of the highest possible standard for over 250  years.  Axminster Carpets is a proud recipient of the Royal Warrant of Appointment for service, quality  and excellence in carpet making and supply to Her Majesty The Queen.

We pride ourselves in creating the very best carpeting for the rail industry, with dedicated  designers and project managers, along with rail-specific specifications and production. We’re  continually working on lowering our environmental impact, and this is prevalent with our rail  products too. We use only sustainable materials, source and weave in the UK and reduce installation waste with our precise quantification service. Our wool carpets have benefits beyond their sustainability, being naturally fire-retardant, insulating, hypoallergenic and sound  absorbing.

  • Crafted in Britain: We continue to source, weave, and create all of our carpets in the UK. Along with its sustainable benefits, this also allows us to offer short and guaranteed lead times on local projects.
  • Expert Quality: Quality, craft and longevity remain at our core, as we pride ourselves on creating the finest  quality carpets from only the best, locally sourced wool.
  • Investing in Axminster: We are continually investing in our factory, looms and people to maintain and evolve our  standards of service, efficiency and sustainability. Our looms are updated and improved to  ensure continued quality. We continue to be an important employer to the local community, with  third and fourth generation family members dedicated to the expert carpet craft.
