Railway Service Depot in Köln-Nippes (Cologne-Nippes)
Situation
This is the newest, most modern and most environmentally friendly service depot of Deutsche Bahn, built in Cologne for the new generation of ICE-4 high-speed trains, cover- ing an area of 23 hectares.
Up to 16 trains are serviced every night, within the service hall. This service hall is 445 m long, 50 m wide, and is equipped with 4 elevated service tracks. The service depot was opened in February 2018.
Solution
Aqseptence Group supplied and installed innovative technical systems for water supply and sewage disposal.
Two containerized vacuum stations have been installed, one in the service hall and one in the outdoor section that contains cleaning facilities for the train interiors.
Also installed in the service hall are numerous underfloor hose-reel systems, both for water supply and sewage disposal.
For the interior cleaning facilities, located outside, there are various supply and disposal modules, as well as cleaning cabinets.
