Straight Performance

Expertise

MAE is your specialist partner for component straightening, pressing and joining, offering expertise and a wide range of services. Founded in 1931, MAE has grown to become a flexible and dynamic company, whose standard products and customized solutions are used all over the world. Over 40 utility models and patents show how MAE systems make our customers successful, in particular the countless uses in automotive engineering, rail technology, steel, energy, tools and standard components, textiles, and electrical machines.

Intelligence

Straightening and joining are processes that call for power and precision. Above all though, they require an intelligent strategy to use this power correctly. Whether round, 3D-formed, profiled, cast, soft or with hardened surfaces, MAE straightening presses can process a huge range of workpieces. MAE wheel set presses stand out thanks to their high-performance controls, which ensure maximum precision in the joining process and comprehensive process documentation. Whatever you need from your processing procedures, MAE always has the right solution to keep your production processes running smoothly and efficiently.

Versatility

Even MAE’s standard range of products offers outstanding solutions for your needs, tailored precisely to your workpieces and processes. See for yourself what our wide range of standard products can do for you:

  • Manual straightening presses
  • Automatic straightening presses
  • Wheel set presses
  • Gear measurement
  • Hydraulic presses

Variety

MAE offers the largest range of manually and automatically control-led straightening machines in the world. They allow you to straighten round, profiled and 3D-formed components weighing from 5 g to 40 t. With pressing forces of 0.1 kN to 40,000 kN, you can process workpieces measuring 40 mm to 30 m in length.

Assemble drive shafts, rotor parts and wheel sets with forces of up to 8,000 kN with hydraulic or mechanical servo drive.

Precision

MAE machines allow you to achieve precisions of up to 0.01 mm in the straightening process. We work together with our customers to develop the right straightening strategy for their application. This strategy determines the result and efficiency of the process. Alongside conventional straightening processes, MAE also offers pressure straightening for hardened parts and torsion straightening for twisted profile bars. The precision control allows you to create a variable straightening strategy with universal tension curve. This means you can boost the performance and precision of your production procedures even more.

MAE measuring machines are extremely robust and fully integratable. They are always the best choice for precisely measuring run-out, diameter and straightness.
