If you happened to wander by Stand C20 at the Middle East Rail Expo at the Festival Arena in Dubai on 12 and 13 October, you will have seen one-stop-shop rail solution provider, Emeg Group, stabled alongside its client and exhibition partner, Etihad Rail.
The annual Middle East Rail exhibition and conference is a showcase of the best in rail innovation, technology and strategy from the world’s leading companies in the rail sector.
Emeg was joined by more than 3,000 attendees, 100 guest speakers, over 150 fellow exhibitors and more regional and international government representatives than attend any other event.
The Emeg stand was a showcase for a wide range of industry leading depot products, including carriage wash machines, fuelling systems, fume extraction, fluid mixing, air purification and ventilation, controlled emission toilets, shore supplies, heating and cooling, signalling, smart depot integration solution, depotCONNECT®, and Emeg’s intelligent Depot Protection System (DPS) with Network Rail PADS-approved automatic derailer assembly, safeNet™.
Visitors to the stand could experience Emeg products safeNet™, e-vac™, e-mix™, e-shore™ and a mobile all-weather wireless totem display via live demonstrations while having their questions answered by Emeg’s time served sales team and technical representatives. Visitors could also learn more about the specialist, rail-focused services Emeg provides, including design, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, engineering, manufacturing, distribution and maintenance.
Emeg was honoured to host some very special visitors to the stand on day 1 of the show, in the form of H.E. Hassan Mohammed Juma Al Mansouri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in the UAE, accompanied by Christopher Heaton-Harris, the UK’s Minister of State for Transport.
They were introduced to CEO of Emeg Group, Richard Simmonite, and President of Emeg Group, Carl Backhouse, and were interested to learn more about Emeg’s role in the ongoing Etihad Rail project – the first national freight and passenger railway network connecting the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) railway network will connect the UAE with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman and is expected to be ready by 2024.
