For more than 100 years Dowaldwerke is partner for the well-known European railway manufacturers and their sub-suppliers. All our products have a long tradition and have been developed further in line with the technical progress. Today our program includes vacuum toilet systems, grey water systems, urinals, interior door systems, fire protection systems and access systems.
Development and Design
We employ a large part of our resources in design and development of our products. Our team includes design engineers, hard and software-developers, mechatronic engineers and service technicians. In this way we are able to comply with customer specific requirements and to react promptly to developments in the market as well as to new customer requirements.
Production
A high in-house production depth is part of our strategy. This enables us to bring specific requirements quickly into serial production. We are in the position to produce all basic components of our products with own resources.
Testing and Validation
For any of our products we operate test facilities or we configure and build them according to own or project-specific requirements. We perform endurance tests, series-accompanying testing and final tests, which secures a minimum failure rate.
Product Range
Interior Door Systems
Door guides and door systems as well as compartment and engine room partitions by Dowald meet all requirements of the rail vehicle industry. Dowald equips regional train vehicles, streetcars and high-speed trains.
Sanitary Systems
Dowaldwerke has more than 20 years of experience in developing and manufacturing vacuum toilet systems for railway rolling stock. Our system includes the toilet itself together with the control unit with hard- and software and the cabling.
Access Systems
Dowald designs and produces customer-specific entrance systems for rail vehicles. This equipment is available for in-floor and underfloor installation.
Spare Parts
We provide spare parts for trains in serial production and for an agreed period after the end of serial production.
