The antimicrobial-coated door opening pushbuttons from EAO reduce the build-up and growth of bacteria – for more safety in public areas.
Concerns about the spread of germs and bacteria in public transport are steadily increasing and are exacerbated by pandemics and ongoing urbanization. Increased hygiene measures are needed for passenger access or toilet facilities, as common physical touch points can accelerate the spread of bacteria in public spaces. Cleaning and disinfection intervals are time-related, which is why the concentration of germs and consequently also the risk of infection depends on the frequency of the intervals.
Clean Touch®
To meet these requirements, which will continue to increase in the future, EAO is introducing the Clean Touch® label. Clean Touch® stands symbolically for EAO’s HMI solutions for increased hygiene requirements. The aim is to reduce concerns about contact through innovation and to create more safety in public spaces.
As the first product variant, the Series 57 door opening pushbutton is available with a Clean Touch® coating. With this pushbutton, both the plastic front bezels and the plastic symbol carrier are provided with an advanced, antimicrobial coating. The included additive effectively reduces the build-up and growth of bacteria, which has been proven in independent tests.
