Nexeya Canada’s MPT Series Testers are multi-point test systems capable of distributing high-voltage expansion to over 20,000+ test points. Distributed systems spread connection test points in remote switching units (RSUs) daisy chained up to 50 metres, in multiple directions, from the main unit. This enables operators to place test points as close as possible to connection points within the product being tested, while reducing the number of cable runs and increasing operator ergonomics and test set up/tear down; saving labour, time and cost.
Supporting the MPT’s ability to optimise rolling stock testing is the ‘mix and match’ capability of test modules. Different voltage modules can be placed within the same test cabinet / RSU in order to optimise testing, increase point coverage and number of points to be tested while reducing test system size and cost.
Further cost reduction is achieved through the use of universal connection points in the MPT Series which reduce adaptor cable complexity and mix. These connections are industry standard connectors that are robust and easy to connect and disconnect.
Rail-specific test algorithms dramatically reduce the number of test cycles required for long high-voltage dwell times. Test thousands of wires in a fraction of the number of cycles to save test and trouble- shooting time and be guaranteed a complete test.
