Rail maintainers required to clean bogie frames prior to their refurbishment and maintenance program. They are targeted to remove heavy duty contamination ideally in one pass and to clean to a high standard.

The cleaning solution must also not damage or effect the rubbers and plastics in the equipment area. The current cleaning process required heat and high pressure to clean a bogie to a moderate standard.

Ideally the customer needed a cleaning solution that can be applied with cold water, at low pressures and highly efficient. On an assembled or dissembled frame.

The Solution:

BONDERITE C-MC GEL 7 is a thickened cleaner for heavy-duty cleaning of all metals and was evaluated by the rail customer. The product is designed for very heavily soiled surfaces. Utilising penetrating and dispersing agents to solubilise the heavy soil contaminants and prevent the formation of lime scale.

It is ideally suited for the rail sector in the bogie area for renovation or maintenance and can be used around the areas that may have rubber hoses, plastics, or painted surfaces.
