About YAPIRAY – Railway Engineering Solutions

With the objective of serving in Rail Systems which become more and more prominence day by day, YAPIRAY was established within the body of Yap, Merkezi as a specialist company by counting acquired experiences as its intellectual capital. YAPIRAY has carried its project and implementation experience which includes various engineering solutions in Rail Systems to current day together with its specializing human resources and specialized machine park. The main objective of YAPIRAY is to maintain continuity of the activities conducted to date and the trust that has been established as a result, and to maintain its leadership in the rail systems.

Since 1998, YAPIRAY has been developing product and services in both horizontal and vertical direction with its sustainability in growth and development. YAPIRAY is the most important multifunctional company in our country which is able to both implement Turnkey Rail System projects and conduct maintenance-repair and reinforcement works on current Rail Systems, which can make designs including high engineering solutions and which can manufacture Railway Concrete Sleepers, Switch Ties and Metro Type Block Products.

History

YAPIRAY was established in 1998 backed up by its valuable experience related to rail systems of Yapi Merkezi. In the same year, the company completed its first metro line installation work in Izmir Metro as the most important project of the period and conducted its first tamping operation in Bursaray in 2000.

Conducted its first line construction with a slope of 20% with Yapi Merkezi in 2004 in Kabatas Taksim Funicular Project, YAPIRAY also completed its initial special design work within the scope of Marmaray BC1 project with the purpose of reducing Noise and Vibration.

Again in 2004, ESTRAM Eskisehir Cable Railway Project, track laying work of which was completed by our Company was awarded with “UITP World Light Rail System Award”.

In the same year, the first work for track laying on a drawbridge was completed successfully for Galata Bridge. l1n 2005, the first line panel prefabrication work for high speed trains was completed for the Ankara-Eskisehir high-speed train project, YAPIRAY manufactured 224 kilometers of panels within the scope of this work. Again within the scope of the same project, 13,000 units of butt-welding job was completed. Commencing Railway Sleeper Investment in 2008 with 100% Turkish Capital, YAPIRAY realized the first superstructure element implementation by manufacturing the First White Railway Concrete Sleeper, and registered this success from Turkish Patent Institute (TPE).

In 2009, granted with its first track laying and traverse delivery operation in turnkey high-speed train project, YAPIRAY has laid 465 km of lines within the scope of Ankara – Konya high-speed train project, and used 770,000 units of its own production RAYTON© brand Concrete Railway Sleepers.
